Chisel Construction is a multi-disciplinary team of construction professionals who have a wealth of experience in craft trades, architecture, interior design, construction, and project management. Guided by the confidence of many years of experience successfully creating beautiful bespoke homes, Duncan Watt is regularly involved with key aspects throughout the duration of each project.

Our Founder, Duncan started in construction as a carpenter working on a variety of country and listed property. Having worked as a tradesman on site, at mid management and senior management levels with some of the country’s leading architects and interior designers, Duncan uses that knowledge and experience, instilling traditional values amongst his team.

oUR ethos

Chisel Construction is enhanced by its people, who work for our clients, alongside numerous professionals, craft folk and suppliers to deliver beautiful buildings in a sustainable manner.

We value the importance of relationships with clients and the many people involved in delivering a project no matter the scale. We work with our clients often over many years and sometimes on multiple properties from larger scale projects to smaller room re-configurations.

Where possible, we utilise our all-electric machinery reducing our use of diesel and noise transmission. Many of our projects involve demolition of some description where we use our material crusher to reduce our off-site waste, often re-using that material back in the project such as landscaping and formation work.

Authenticity

Our area of specialism is country, period and listed property. A team of honest, trustworthy, project weathered, hard working individuals working closely for our clients.

Sustainability

Chisel Construction have, and are, switching over to more sustainable forms of transport, construction equipment and the recycling of building material to reduce our carbon footprint.

Loyalty

We work with our current and repeat clients for many years on a variety of different requirements. Small maintenance items to large scale construction projects, we work with our clients before, during and after, forming strong bonds of trust and loyalty built up over the years.

Our team is dedicated to utilising bespoke methods of construction to the very highest standard. We build structures that feel timeless and appropriate to place. Throughout the journey from project concept to completion, our client’s aspirations are brought ever closer to life through an array of creative presentations and personal consultations.

We also work with clients through a more architect-led arrangement where helpful, friendly, and positive collaboration is essential.

Our work needs to live beyond us and we take the time to get it right the first time. From concept to completion - all of our disciplines live under one roof, this is how we are able to create the most beautiful, bespoke homes and deliver to the highest levels of client satisfaction.
